The client had a new tour package to Alaska, which was only limited to 80 slots, and was set to start in 2 months. We were challenged to help promote the travel packages.

Despite a promotional price, the cost of the tour package was very high, at RM21,888 per pax. This meant that only a small segment of the audience could afford it.

 

THE OPPORTUNITIES

We immediately thought of Siow Hui Mei, whose audience are of an older group, which also meant a larger spending power. Seeing that the price point of the tour package was high, she was perfect for the role.

 
 

THE IDEA

Relying on Hui Mei’s star power, the idea was simple: “Take a vacation with a star!” Siow Hui Mei would be their tour guide and friend throughout the entire trip, giving them the chance to get to know her personally. She would post on her social media enticing people to join her on the cruise.

Full tour of of 80 pax was sold out within a month

The full tour of of 80 pax priced at RM21,888 each was sold out within a month. The tour was so successful that Golden Destinations engaged Siow Hui Mei to be their ambassador after that.
